Understand settings and storage
SubKeep stores its hierarchy and preferences in Chrome local extension storage. Data is separated by the detected Google Keep account, and account-specific controls are disabled when the active account cannot be resolved safely.
- Google Keep's native labels are hidden by default and can be shown from Settings.
- Expanded branches, selected label, section state, and the last export time persist locally.
- The landing website separately uses the services described in the Privacy Policy; extension-local behavior does not describe website form or analytics processing.
Important boundaries
- Re-import reads visible native labels; it does not create, rename, or delete Keep labels.
- Backup undo is session-scoped and disappears when the popup closes.
- The current assignments export field is reserved for forward compatibility and does not contain note-to-label assignments.
