1

Create and nest labels

  1. 1.Choose Add Label in the SubKeep section to create a root label.
  2. 2.Use Add sublabel on an existing branch to place a label beneath it.
  3. 3.Expand and collapse branches to keep only the part of the hierarchy you need visible.
  • Names are required, case-insensitively unique, and limited to 50 characters.
  • Descriptions are optional and limited to 200 characters.
  • A predefined color can be added for quicker scanning.
2

Edit or remove a label

Edit a label to change its name, description, or color. Deleting a parent requires confirmation and moves its direct children to the root instead of deleting them.

Important boundaries

  • The maximum supported nesting depth is three levels below a root label.
  • Parent selection does not combine the filters of its children.
  • Names, punctuation, capitalization, spaces, and emoji must match the native Keep label exactly.

Milk, eggs, sourdough, salad mix, coffee beans.

On smaller screens the hierarchy stays readable and the selected note preview moves beneath it instead of being squeezed beside it.
